Types of RVs
Learn about different RV types, size classes and styles.
Travel Trailer
Travel trailers are the most popular for those looking to get started RV-ing. They range from small to large, and offer a variety of amenities and are towed by mid-sized SUVs and full sized trucks. Travel trailers are one of the most popular RV options available.
Fifthwheel
Fifthwheel RVs, like travel trailers, offer the same size and features as most other RVs. They’re often wider and use a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of the truck for towing which allows them to carry more weight and be easier to control on the road.
Hybrid Expandable
Hybrid or Expandable trailers are a cross between a pop-up camper and a travel trailer, so you can have more space than a pop-up but at a lighter weight and easier to tow than a typical travel trailer.
Tent Pop-up
Very lightweight and easy to tow by almost any vehicle. Can be stored in your garage or undercover. Compact size will fit into any campsite. For tent enthusiasts, you still have the feeling of sleeping under canvass, but with the convenience of a camper.
Class C Motorhome
In Class C Motorhomes, you ride inside your RV instead of pulling it. This provides easy access to your own bathroom and kitchen while traveling. Drives like a standard truck and usually a gas engine. Come in a variety of styles, lengths and floor-plans.
Class A Motorhome
Class A are usually the largest of all motorhomes. Comes in gas and diesel engines. Large picture windshield gives you a fantastic view of the road and the highway. Sits up high so you have good visibility and plenty of comfort. Larger floorplan feels more spacious than many Class C motorhomes. More storage than a traditional Class C motorhomes.
